This is a picture Renee took of me at a Model Un Conference. I'm in the auditorium where the General Assembly was meeting. In front of me is a microphone that the delegates can use when it is their turn to talk on the speaker's list.

This conference was part of a series of conferences that took place at a different high school on the first monday of each month. Each was called a Susquehanna Valley Model Un Conference. There were students from around four to five schools that represented different countries. I was a "delegate" from Monaco. There were different committees from the Security Council to the NGO's. I was part of the general assembly where we had an issue each conference that must be resolved.

In order to make a resolution the delegate must go through a series of steps. It is advisable to get on the speaker's list where you can share your country's opinion on the topic and listen to what others have to say too. Then a draft must be written and there must be a certain number of signatories, which are countries that support the bill. Then the bill must be submitted to the chair where it must be approved. After approval and revisions, the draft is given a resolution number. A motion must pass to be able to vote on the bill and then after that is passed the voting begins. Normally there are two or three main bills being written by different countries with different solutions.
